Effects and benefits

Even in cases of baldness, the scalp retains stem cells from the hair follicles. PRP platelets, which contain a very large number of "growth factors", have a regenerating action on these hair follicle stem cells, provided they are injected gradually and locally into the scalp. This being said, platelet-rich plasma injections seem much more effective in cases of mild alopecia or thinning of the hair, than in cases of advanced baldness.

Specifically, growth factors in platelet-rich plasma stimulate stem cells and promote the formation of new blood vessels. PRP injections in the scalp therefore allow better blood supply. In particular, an awakening of bald scalp stem cells and a revitalization of hair bulbs and follicles can be observed on the treatment area.

Intervention

  1. A blood sample is taken from the patient, similar to a blood test.
  2. This sample is then centrifuged to separate the platelets from the other blood components. The product obtained has a light yellow color (plasma color) with a fluid consistency.
  3. The platelet concentrate (CPA) obtained is then reinjected into various areas depending on the desired goal.

An average increase of 25% in the density of your hair. From the first treatment, you will feel a difference in the texture of your scalp and hairline. Visible results will appear 8-10 weeks after the first treatment. Results may vary from person to person since the treatment relies on the ability of your cells to regenerate with your own growth factors.

WARNING: Platelet-rich plasma treatment is however not a miracle cure against hair loss, nor a long-term solution.
If hair loss persists, it is best to consult your doctor.
